Fall D-league Sessions

11/12/2007 Fall D-league Sessions this week will be on Friday Night November 16th at Edison Job Corps. (Biddy Ball - 6:30 pm) (NBA/NCAA - 8:00 pm)

Metro Hoops is now accepting applications for it's Fall D-League for boys and girls in grades K through 9th. The Metro Hoops Developmental League, also known as the “D-LEAGUE” is bar none the ultimate in developmental basketball for young players. The League is broken-up into 4 divisions - Super-Biddy Ball (K-1st), Biddy Ball (2nd-4th Grade), NCAA (5th-6th) and NBA (7th-9th).

The D-league consists of 45 minutes of fundamentals and skills followed by a league game with officials. The league consist of a 7 game schedule.

Some clinics focus strictly on fundamentals, while others only emphasize the importance of game experience. At Metro Hoops we believe practice alone will only make a good practice player. For any player to reach his/her full potential, practicing fundamental skills and team concepts along with application are essential to the complete development of young boys and girls in the early stages of their basketball careers.

As a part of the Metro Hoops D-LEAGUE, your son or daughter will receive 30 – 45 minutes of specialized fundamental skill instruction from qualified coaches. Following the first session each child will be placed on a competitive team. Each session thereafter, teams will compete in the “LEAGUE” following instruction, where they will get a chance to apply the various skills and concepts taught each week. Each game will be officiated by certified referees and each child will play a minimum of 2 quarters. (All players get equal play time!)

The Developmental League is a year-round basketball league for players who love to play basketball and have a desire to move their game to the next level.

At each session, players in the 2nd through 8th grades play against some of the top players in the metro area, and are instructed by some of the area's finest coaches and former college and pro players.

We have helped developed over 75 Division I Basketball players, and many exceptional high school players in recent years. Our system focuses on providing each individual with the basketball skills necessary to excel.
